Russia hits Ukrainian train shortly after Boris Johnson and top European officials leave station

A Russian drone struck a Ukrainian passenger train near the Poland border at Yahodyn just minutes after former British prime minister Boris Johnson and top European security advisers were passing the same line on their return from a Kyiv conference. The drone hit the train’s engine, but no casualties were reported and all passengers were evacuated. Ukrainian rail officials said the target could have been a diplomatic train. Ukraine’s foreign minister described the attack as barbaric. The strike occurred about two kilometres from the Polish border.
