US forces struck five Iranian oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman, sinking the M/T Riesco, after Tehran launched missiles at a U.S. warship. The U.S. said the tankers were part of a shadow network that funds the IRGC. Tehran had also fired missiles at a U.S. base in Jordan, most of which were intercepted; Jordan said 18 of 20 were shot down. The strikes come amid rising oil prices and regional tensions.
